Optima Family Care a New Choice in Southwest Virginia

Optima Health is one of six insurance companies in Southwest Virginia available to some 70,000 Medicaid recipients living in the region. Optima Health has been contracted with the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) since 1995. Optima Health calls its Medicaid program Optima Family Care.  Optima Family Care began serving the Southwest Virginia region on January 1, 2012.

Medicaid recipients have until January 3, 2012 to make a Medicaid selection during its open enrollment period.
